I’ve been drawing my buddies for presents and such, I’m aiming to draw up to 100 of these of different people I know… let’s see how I do on this project…
I’m hoping this is something that will continue to build up, I guess I’ve got the time to do it now!
I had time to finish up my Janelle Monae picture from my previous post, this time adding a body and finding the right image to reference from for the pose. Pretty happy with this.
Currently one of my favourite artists, everything about her is brilliant from her music to her conceptual image and silky stage moves. I created this portrait when I had a spare couple of hours, even managed to get a response from her Twitter account when I tweeted her the picture. Suffice to say I felt pretty smug to get a nice reply.
